Kevin

The Breakup

After the unexpected break-up of his "owners" Dan and Dana, neurotic housecat Kevin moves into a local pet rescue in Queens where he meets other "independent" cats who can help him figure out what he wants out of life.

Animal of the Month

After being named "Animal of the Month," Kevin struggles to fill out his "adoption profile" on the Furrever Friends website. In order to figure out what type of person he's looking for, Kevin decides to hit the streets with Cupcake to see her New York. An excited Judy escorts Armando to his nail appointment, but they both end up going home with an unlikely potential human companion.

Kitten Season

Kevin and Judy try to be mentors to the out-of-control new kittens who flood the rescue. Armando is coaxed into returning to the theater as the director of an all-horse production of a beloved American musical. His return is spoiled by the unexpected appearance of his rival... Broadway legend Patti LuPony. Seth and Brandi turn to Cupcake for help in getting the new kittens ready to be adopted.

In Heat

A heat wave leads Armando to seek refuge with a wealthy woman in the Hamptons. Kevin, avoiding offers of help from Dan and Dana, begs Armando to bring him along. Cupcake tries to escape the heat by finally spending the night with one of her casual hook-ups, a pitbull named Mia. Judy is left alone in the rescue to contend with ants seeking shelter.

Quarantined

A new strain of Kennel Cough forces Kevin and the rest of animals into quarantine. They turn on each other as mob mentality causes an obsession over identifying "Patient Zero." Armando finds himself at odds with Patti LuPony when he refuses to cancel Mame rehearsals despite being sick. Brandi feels betrayed by Seth's insistence on including her in the quarantine protocols.

Fourth of July

Kevin and the other animals take a heavy duty sedative to cope with the horrors of the Fourth of July in Queens. Kevin finds himself re-evaluating his decision to reject Dana and live on his own. Cupcake thwarts Armando's attempt to escape into lucid dreaming. Seth tries to save runaway dogs to impress Brandi. Judy helps Peter impress his visiting parents.

Provincetown

When the gang attends a pet adoption ceremony in Provincetown, Kevin finds himself competing with a collie for Franny's attention. Bear helps Armando face his past. Cupcake is concerned when Judy develops a crush on another sickly kitten. Seth laments the fact that he and Brandi never had an official adoption ceremony themselves.

Opening Night

Kevin impulsively tells Franny that he wants to take their relationship to the next level. An unexpected visit by an important figure from his past forces Armando to consider his behavior patterns in relationships. Cupcake puts herself in a compromising position as she tries to help Judy get over her recent heartbreak.

A life-long housecat decides that he doesn't want to live with people anymore. Loosely inspired by a real break-up and the cat caught in the middle, Kevin dares to ask himself: ‘Is there a world where I don't do the owner thing and am just… single for the rest of my life?'
