Savin' Grace in Outer Space

Casper and the Angels

United States

Casper the Friendly Ghost was a guardian angel for two female motorcycle space cops named Minnie (who was rather ditzy and had a Southern accent) and Maxie (who was a much more intelligent African-American woman) in the year 2179. They were joined by a rambunctious ghost named Hairy Scary, who would scare villains and troublemakers, but unlike most other ghosts, was accepting of the fact that Casper was a gentle ghost who did not like to scare people.

The Mist of Wishes

Dragon's Lair

The series chronicles the adventures of Dirk the Daring, who is best knight in King Ethelred's kingdom. Dirk performs all sorts of great deeds while protecting the kingdom and his love, Princess Daphne. The show was generally run of the mill, but boasted an unusual feature: to keep the show in the spirit of the game, before each commercial break a narrator would ask what the viewer would do to solve the problem facing Dirk the Daring. After the commercial break, the outcomes of the various choices were shown before Dirk acts on the correct idea (with the occasional exception) to save the day. In contrast to the original game, the previously nameless Dragon was known given the name Singe, and Princess Daphne now wore a long pink dress.

Galtar and the Golden Lance

Syndication

The series is about the mythical adventures of three companions: Galtar, Princess Goleeta, and her younger mind controlling brother, Zorn. Galtar, with the help of his Golden Lance, is fighting with Tormack, the tyrannical usurper of the kingdom of Bandisar who is conquering their entire world. Tormack is responsible for the death of both Galtar's parents and assassinating the rest of Goleeta and Zorn's family. Tormack, among others like him, covets the power of Galtar's supernatural weapon, the Golden Lance, in order to combine it with the stolen ancient and indestructible Sacred Shield, which rightfully belongs to Goleeta and Zorn. For whoever holds both cannot be brought down in any form of combat. Also aiding Galtar and his friends is the powerful red dragon known as Ravens Claw. Further hindrances (plus comic relief) to this trio comes from inept father and son mercenaries Rak & Tuk.

Shirt Tales

Based on a popular line of greeting cards, the Shirt Tales were a group of adorable animals whose shirts would randomly proclaim things such as "Hug me" or "Let's go!," usually hinting at the current mood of the various "Tales." The group consisted of leader Tyg the tiger, Rick the raccoon, panda named Pammy, Digger the Mole and a monkey called Bogey. In the second season, another female character was added, young Kip the kangaroo. The group lives in an oak tree in the middle of a public park, under the watchful eye of Superintendent Dinkle. Hardly a group of loiterers, the Shirt Tails help park visitors through acts of goodwill and their uncanny ability to solve mysteries.
