His nickname is Dragon Rage Ikari (Japanese: ドラゴンのイカリ Ikari the Dragon), because of the draconic vibe he gives off. He is a Pokémon Ping-Pong player and was known for winning the Pokémon Ping-Pong tournament to become Pokémon Ping-Pong champion of Alola year after year.
