Monsters controlled by the Phantom Thieves group. They are described by Nijii as a "system newly developed by the Phantoms" and by Goemon as a "power bestowed by Lord Usonoir"; they are created when a "Makoto Jewel" is corrupted by a "Lie" (a form of malevolent energy). In other words, while they possess a monster-like (biological) appearance, they are highly likely to be mechanical entities created through some form of technology.
