Daihannya Nagamitsu

Character

Daihannya Nagamitsu

大般若長光

A tachi forged by Nagamitsu, a swordsmith of the Bizen Osafune school. Its name derives from a play on words involving the sum of six hundred kan—a unit of currency in the Muromachi period—and the six hundred scrolls of the Great Prajna Sutra. He possesses a fondness for fine art, asserting that it is a perfectly natural and proper thing to admire beautiful objects and seek to make them one's own. However, his personal motto in daily life is one of simplicity and frugality.
