Height: 148 cm (4'9") Her trademark is an X-shaped hair accessory. Like Akeno Shima and the others, she loves curry—specifically, authentic Indian-style curry. Because she prefers the real deal, she is particularly fond of dishes like chicken masala and keema curry, and she likes eating them with naan bread. Her hobbies include photography and amateur radio; she developed an interest in the latter after tinkering with radios alongside her grandfather. She has a strong preference for film cameras—partly because she owns a film camera that was a keepsake from her grandfather—but since the Harekaze lacks developing facilities, she brings a digital SLR on board instead. She says she simply loves the mechanical aspects of the equipment. On the Harekaze, she serves as the electronic detection specialist—essentially, the radar operator. The radar system was installed after the ship's initial completion; the radar screen itself isn't located on the bridge, so she operates from a small room added to the rear of the bridge and relays reports via a voice pipe. She has been friends since junior high school with Tsugumi Yagi, who handles telegraphy (wireless communication) in the adjacent room. Although she is aware of Tsugumi's uncanny dowsing abilities, she remains a skeptic and a realist.
